Background and Experience
Please briefly present the partner organization. (e.g. its type, size, scope of work, areas of specific expertise, specific social context and, if relevant, the quality system used)
European Youth, Education and Sports Association (AGES-DER) and was established in 2011 in order to promote the active participation of the youth into the social, cultural and economic life of the society through developing projects in the fields of education, culture, tourism, health and social affairs. The main aim is to transform the youth into productive and active citizens and increase the integration of the youth to the economic and social life of the society.
The association also aims to develop projects funded by EU, World Bank and various national agencies and supports and assists the development of such projects. Additionally, it provides assistance during the execution of the projects, and promotes professionalism, establishes forums and platforms to propose solutions, creates networks between potential partners in the mentioned projects. Lastly, educative and informative seminars are also offered in the fields of proposal development and project management.
What are the activities and experience of the organization in the areas relevant for this application?
As the main purposes of establishment of AGES-DER, training programs for the youth are performed towards the reduction of the youth unemployment, efforts are spent to increase the number and quality of the projects in the field of youth development. There is also an ongoing effort to launch a local communication forum to bring all the youth related organizations together into a single platform.
As another objective of the AGES-DER, EU programs are presented to the youth through the seminars and presentations, all the information required by the project applicants and project participants are replied by the members of AGES-DER.
The president of AGES-DER, Bilgehan Harmansah, is experienced member of the organization, who coordinated various youth projects including Erasmus+ projects. He is already the contact agent of Nigde for EURODESK.
